Last summer we built a garden shed/chicken coop. We decided it needed a living roof (also called a green roof or a sod roof) and promptly set about building one. We made grand progress until winter hit and we decided that we'd had enough of cold weather construction. Now that spring is here, we're diligently back at work. As of March 2010, our roof looks like this:
Yes, we have a looong way to go. But stayed tuned as we delve into the design and planting, all slated for Spring/Summer 2010.
