Well My Dears,This has been one hell of a week. The grand news is that we have 13 inches of lovely cellulose insulation in our attic. They even did the upstairs walls, too. For a girl that walks around the house in a wool hat and down vest during the winter, the change was immediate and utterly thrilling. A toasty warm house! What a concept.
We are so glad to be done. They also insulated the attic door and put a plug in our fireplace which was great as it was a huge heat suck. The key is remembering to remove it, should we ever decide to build a fire.
The not-so-great news is that Ben’s second set of molars is coming in and he has been a drooling, cranky mess the past few days. And Chris is out of town. So it goes. It’s given us an excuse to down multitudes of popsicles. As if one really needs an excuse.
