Peru
Two and a half weeks of traveling with a 20-month old child is a crazy adventure. We had moments of laughter, frustration, sickness, and silliness. Six hotels, a 10-hour train ride, a UNESCO world heritage site, six airports, and countless llamas later, I can say with certainty that I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Here is our route.
We went in a counter-clockwise direction, flying from Lima to Arequipa and then driving to Colca Canyon and then Puno [Lake Titicaca], followed by Cusco/Machu Picchu/Sacred Valley. From there we flew back to Lima, and then home via Miami.
I’m going to divide our blog posts up by geographic location:
Part 1 - Arequipa, The White City
Part 2 - The Altiplano
Part 3 - Cruz del Condor and Colca Canyon
Part 4 - Sillustini, Lake Titicaca, and the Floating Islands of Uros
Part 5 - Cusco
Part X - Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes
Part X - The Sacred Valley and Pisac

We have a thousand pictures...I’m trying to narrow it down to a select few that I’ll post here in a few days. xxoo, Sonja
