There is never a 'right' time to lose someone, but a death seems especially egregious when that person is young, vibrant and has so much life left to live. Betsy was part of a close group of pals from high school. Wickedly smart, plucky, and eternally friendly, her absence is being felt so very keenly right now by legions of friends, family, and coworkers.

Betsy (Elizabeth) Marie Arntz left us to live with the angels unexpectedly on Monday, September 20th, 2010. She was born on May 29th, 1981. Betsy was the beloved daughter of Craig and Josie Arntz and oldest sister of Jamie, Bryan, Kristina and Amanda Arntz. She was loved dearly by her grandparents Neil and Marian Arntz, Jim and Bea Rauen, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Betsy attended St. Francis of Assisi School and was a National Merit Scholar from Holy Names Academy. We believe Betsy's happiest years were spent with her friends at Holy Names Academy. She graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She was dedicated to her work at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and loved her job and co-workers. Every year she looked forward to volunteering and attending the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Gala. She was so grateful for the time, talent and treasure people committed to finding a cure for her diabetes. Betsy your love-filled heart, patience, keen intellect and grace have enriched our lives. You always thought the best of everyone. We are so grateful for the time we had with you. We will love and cherish you daily for the rest of our lives. Our prayers are with you. Goodbye sweetheart. Services will be held at St. Francis Church in Burien ~ The Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Sept. 23rd. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 25th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
