A few of you might remember the
humming bird nest that we discovered a few months back at my parent's house. Hopefully the two wee little birds
successfully fledged and are now enjoying life in the greater Pacific Northwest. Papa took the nest down a few days ago so we could have a proper look-see.

Notice the fine weaving and delicately placed lichen. What a work of art.

Lots of feathers makes for a relatively comfy nest.
