Happy Birthday Eric and Alex!

Pardon the fuzzy pictures. I swear, once we get the new camera, I'll become the best photographer ever and nary a fuzzy photo will every grace this website again. Because an awesome camera really makes up for a poor photographer, right?!

Anyway, I digress. Last night we celebrated Eric's birthday (a few days past his proper birthday) which was rather funny timing since it was Alex's real birthday. Happy Birthday Alex! We almost put your name on the cake but then I realized that I didn't have any light colored frosting...so nobody got their name on the cake.

In this household we make people assemble their own birthday dinner (true: Chris made pizza for himself [and us] last week) so we put Eric to work slicing, dicing, and sauteing the taco fixings. It was an awesome dinner.



One of Eric's presents this year was going to be a diagram of Megan's family tree since people (Megan and Chris) are constantly referring to Cousin X or Aunt Q and Eric and I are left trying to sort out how Second Cousin M is related to the kids by Great Uncle Z. It gets confusing. But I didn't get around to completing the full family tree so after cake we sat down to chart out The History of Megan (and Chris). Once we had it down (with a few blank spaces), it was really quite simple. We just needed the paper version to draw it all together, mentally. All in all, it was quite the entertaining evening.
