We are celebrating the return-to-functioning of both our shower and upstairs toilet. I happen to consider them both rather essential household features so it was nice to be back in the land of clean, sanitary people. I should add that the shower wasn't really out of commission; it was just extraordinarily hard to use. Picture the shower head coming out of the wall at an elevation lower than Chris' shoulders. Shampooing one's head required a difficult half-squat. It was amazing the muscles we used trying to obtain that position. We, and Chris, in particular, are loving the improvement.
