So my pottery class is proving to be great fun. I'm one of the only novices in the group; it's been interesting to watch my more experienced classmates create their pieces. I got my first pot back this week. She's bottom heavy, lopsided, and poorly glazed. But that's ok. I'm getting (marginally) better with every pot I throw. And no, I didn't throw the plate that's in the top photo...someday, maybe.
I'm currently working on a coiled piece that Chris has fondly dubbed The Ugly Teapot. I'd post more pictures of the building process but I'm not convinced that he's going to make it through the first round of firing. I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
