Our friend Laurie is an expert at finding intriguing objects. Her house is fascinating. Three years ago she sent us this piece in celebration of our engagement. It's a stamp that is carved out of a piece of linoleum floor tile. Made eons ago, it is now warped and bent. Laurie thought it would make an interesting piece of artwork. We enthusiastically agreed and hung in the living room. Unfortunately, our living room has rather poor lighting and this piece languished in a corner. Until tonight. I'd never actually used it as a stamp due to its mishappen nature.
To start the process, I tested it out using absorbent and flexible paper. Voila! We have a print! The relief is quite pronounced against a white background.
