Bailey and I were driving home today and I stopped at a light behind this lady. Evidently she's really proud of the fact that she's a crossing guard. While that is an admirable job; I'm not sure I'd put it on my license plates.
This evening I was reading the Anchorage Daily News online and noticed that they had a collection of reader-submitted vanity plate photos. What are the chances?! Vanity plates are a huge deal in California, and evidently, in Alaska too.
For the most part, it seems that people use plates to state their favorite hobby:
Rally around their cause:
(Save ANWR {Arctic National Wildlife Refuge})
State a message or belief:
Brag:
(Rock on, this is something to brag about!)
Or state that, yes, indeed, 9 kids is plenty:
(Or too many, depending on who you ask)
And then some owners are just unique in their own special way
This one was one of my favorites.
