Someday I'd like to design a pond in our yard. There are so many possibilities when it comes to water gardens that include plant and animal life. Water gardens are extremely popular down here but they tend to look too artificial (while attempting to look natural). Does that make sense? You either have to look completely natural or make a conscience decision to look modern or un-natural. I like both styles but I think the natural style is far more difficult.
And, of course, there are lots of examples of very poor attempts out there.
