After the Science Times section, the Home and Garden section of the New York Times is my favorite. This week they had a section on an interior designer who opened his house for the article. Part of his focus was bringing nature into his home and making the transition from outside into the interior of the home seamless. That included the installation of eight birch trees in his living room. The trees were alive and initially intended for his yard until he discovered they were diseased. So he brought them inside. It's quirky and I kind of like it.
