Around noon today our perfectly blue sky (a rarity here in the OC) turned an awful shade of brownish-gray. We had at least two brush fires that were fueled by the Santa Ana winds just east of Anaheim (about 20 minutes away) that burned a couple of houses and caused a couple hundred people to be evacuated. Our yard is being gently coated by wispy ash. We ditched the patio in favor of an extravagantly decadent splurge: massages. If I'm every hugely rich I'm going to give most of my fortune to the nature conservancy but leave enough to have a weekly massage. Oh, wishful thinking. :)
