So today I decided that I'm going to try and expand my recipe repertoire. I'm going to start making things that I'd normally never make. So, of course I started with a dessert:
Recipe #1: Angel Food Cake.
Twelve eggs later I finally assembled the ingredients and popped it in the oven. And 30 minutes later emerged with a rather flat cake. Quite honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between this cake and a store-bought one; consequently, I'm not sure this one was worth the effort. I think smothering it in berries helped. I was going to try and attempt a lemon cheesecake recipe that Cherie sent me but I didn't have all the ingredients on hand so I'll have to try that one on another weekend.
