Adventures in LA
I travel to Los Angeles pretty frequently for work. On this particular day I had to visit both the building department and the fire department, both huge offices in the middle of downtown. Unfortunately, the building department and the fire department are approximately a mile apart; this can be difficult if you're paying a significant sum to park in one lot but then have to move lots across town to park in a different lot. Fortunately, LA has this nifty free downtown shuttle that nicely ferries passengers all over the place. It's delightful. I love using public transportation, neverminding the fact that I had to spend 1.5 hours in the car (from Santa Ana to LA) just to spend 5 minutes on the shuttle.
