We went hiking today on the Live Oaks Trail near our house. It was a beautiful meadow hike through a very pretty area. However, the vista at the top was marred by the miles of residential development that were visible in all directions. All the houses looked exactly the same! I'm so glad that we live in a house that isn't exactly identical to its neighbor.
