Here is a picture from our hike this morning. It was really hot this weekend so we got an early start to beat the heat. Still, it had to have been at least 85 degrees in the sun. We saw a really cool snake laying on the trail. I thought it was dead initially but it moved off the trail once we came closer. Of course, I didn't quite get the camera out in time to snap a picture. I also missed a picture of a beautiful red beetle. Next time I think I'll take me SLR, it's faster than the digital and I've got a couple lenses that will allow me to take close-ups. They do take longer to scan into the computer, however.
